#Ramadan1436AH Day 7: Embracing Truth

Imagine yourself alone. You are beside a pool. Then you jump in. You don’t struggle as the water quickly envelopes you. It’s no use. No matter what you do, no matter whether you choose to accept it or not, you are enveloped in water. Now, do you adapt yourself to the water, or the water adapts itself to you? You adapt, and you begin to swim, or at least paddle to stay afloat if you can’t swim.  But you conform to it, not it to you.
The thing about truth is, it will always be there. It won’t change. It won’t bend. It won’t conform over time.
Allah says, “It is not befitting on a believing man nor a believing woman, that whenever Allah and His Messenger gave decided on a matter, that they should have any other opinion”. [Sura 33:36]
So know that Allah is the Truth, and His attributes are true. And His Mercy is true, and His Wrath is true. And his Angels are true. And His Messengers are the true, and their messages are true. And His judgement is true, and his decree is true. And his creation are truth, and you are a part of the big, grand truth that makes up all of existence.
Embrace it.

“Say, truly, my prayer and my sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the worlds.” [Surah 6:162]
The mistakes are mine and Allah knows best.
