Zainab Musa: A Letter to my Future Husband; I Plan to make you Happy in this World and the Hereafter (2)

As the Ramadan winds to an end, I have continued to pray to find my very own man and reiterate how I plan to make him happy in this dunya and the akhirah, so help me Allah. Love You the Same Way as When we Met My eternal love, I will never quench the light that lit our hearts and made us one. I will renew that passion day in day out. It takes ingenuity and hard work to make marriage interesting and worthwhile, I will do all these. I promise not to take you for granted and always appreciate you. Even if our lives become routine and fall into a familiar pattern of sleeping and waking, I will endeavour to keep the spark alive in our relationship--- the same one that sent the chills down my spine on our first meeting. Though tempers flare and stress make us behave in an irrational way; we will quarrel, disagree, shout at each other maybe, but that will not define us. I will forgive, forget and move on very quickly. Whatever we do, I will still love you and have your best interests at heart. I will Innovate and Grow alongside You Dreams change and with every year that evolves, we forge ahead in different ways, becoming closer to our goals in life. Despite the innovation, growth and changes, I’ll make sure it is with you. Whatever the improvements and goals, it will be in sync with what you need and want to discover. You will enlighten me with your vast knowledge, intelligence and I will enliven you with the richness of my heart. Even in the stillness of silence, we will forever be in constant connection. I will make your dreams be my achievement. When you feel abandoned in the path you are trudging, I will be by your side holding your hands and giving you a promising tomorrow. I will Embolden You It is outlandish falling in love with someone who makes you better. Let my success inspire you to find your own personal achievements. Being with you should excite and instigate you to go beyond your limitation. The sky is your starting point InshaAllah. I want to be your muse and reflection. The one who makes you realize how much you have to offer and what you are capable of. Your Umbrella when the Rain is Falling If you are facing any obstacle you think you can’t overcome, I will show you that you can do it alone. I will try my best to attend to your needs without crippling it. If you want to get away, I will be your escape route. In the dark, you can’t see shiny cars but that’s when I will be there for you. I will love you for the sake of Allah and I’m sticking out till the end. I will be your imagination when you are stuck inside your own head and I will be there to fall back on when you slip. We will get lost in our adventures together even if it’s in the comfort of our beds. Even if it’s raining more than ever, I will hand you an umbrella because we have each other forever. Challenge when feeling Mediocre I will not let you get away staying in your comfort zone. You might temporarily hate me for that but I have your best interests at heart as always. I care about you to be upfront and sincere even when the truth is bitter and hurts. Even though we might bruise, we will also heal. Life is full of ups and downs but the ability to stay strong even when the coast doesn’t seem safe for the ship to land is love. We will wither away any drought or weeds obstructing our journey to everlasting love. We will confront all challenges together and become stronger as a couple in the process. We will be ONE singular unit and InshaAllah we will grow old, grey together in the fold of Islam. The hadith of Prophet (pbuh) spoke about the importance of good deeds to one’s husband. “Your women who will enter Paradise are those nice to their husbands, who bear children, and those who keep checking the needs of their husbands. If her husband gets angry with her, she would hold his hand and say: “By Allah, I will not sleep until you forgive me” [as-Silsilah as-Sahiha]. I pray that Almighty Allah facilitates that which is good for me and be my happiness till I join my ancestors. Future husband, wherever you are, Allah will make easy for you your ways, protect you and your relations and bless you abundantly. I know you are looking for me as am looking for you, I believe our paths will cross soon. See you then. Maa salaam .
